Castle Poster - Vaux-le-Vicomte
🇫🇷 Printed and made in France
Lost in the countryside, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte has nothing to envy its neighbour Fontainebleau! Its furnished rooms are superb and its park is so vast that, with young children, we rented an electric buggy to enjoy it. On this poster, a few geese glide peacefully across the water, facing the château's majestic facade.

This travel poster celebrates the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, in Seine-et-Marne, one of the most beautiful châteaux in France. Its golden facade and slate dome rise beyond the lawns and clipped hedges, while a line of geese crosses the pond in the foreground.
In 1641, Nicolas Fouquet became the owner of the estate. He brought together the architect Louis Le Vau, the painter Charles Le Brun and the gardener André Le Nôtre to turn it into a masterpiece, whose French formal gardens inspired those of Versailles. The deep green of the gardens, the blue of the sky and the pale stone of the château create an elegant, soothing palette.
Ideal for a living room, a study or a hallway, this poster will appeal to lovers of châteaux, French heritage and grand gardens. A poster designed as an invitation to stroll, at the peaceful pace of a French formal garden.
